Ngozi survives Sambisa and returns home. Acting on advice from Auntie Halima, she presents herself to the authorities and things quickly take a dramatic turn, and her status as a victim is overturned to the perpetrator.

Rescued by people she’d never met before, Ngozi relocates to a new community where she struggles to fit in. Her past life experiences constantly clash with the present, making it a challenge to live a typical teenage life.

Ngozi is dealt a devastating blow when her health takes a turn for the worse. Now she must confront the past she’s been trying to bury, to find the answers that hold the key to her survival.
